ENGINEERING & PRODUCTION
A first article gives the project a practical checkpoint before repeat production. The useful work starts with understanding the part and agreeing on what needs to be verified.
UNDERSTAND — Tell us what the part needs to do, the material, critical dimensions, quantities and production goals. A drawing helps. If the design is still developing, start with the requirements you have.
VERIFY — We review the manufacturing approach, tooling, operations and requirements that need attention before production moves forward.
BUILD — First-article work gives us a chance to check the process and the agreed fit and inspection requirements. Any changes need to be captured in the correct drawing revision and plan.
REPEAT — Once the route is agreed, the focus becomes consistent production and clear communication when requirements change.
If your project calls for a formal first-article report or customer approval step, identify it in the RFQ so its scope can be agreed.
