HOW WE BUILD IT / Stamping & Forming

STAMPING & FORMING

Repeat features need a manufacturing plan that suits both the part and the quantity. Punching, forming and stamping are related conversations, but the right process depends on the geometry and tooling.

Discuss turret punching and formed features with PTB, including bridges, half shears, lances and knockouts. Include the cutting, forming and assembly requirements so we can review the part as a whole.

Send the drawing, material, thickness, quantities and the role each feature plays. If a feature needs to locate hardware, clear another part or control assembly fit, show that requirement.

For a dedicated stamping process, we'll first confirm the manufacturing route and tooling needs. A broad process name isn't a promise that every die type or production method is already available for the job.

CNC SHEET METAL BENDING

This panel-bending demonstration shows a sheet-metal forming operation. The finished geometry, flange locations and connections help determine the appropriate forming route for a part.
