HOW WE BUILD IT / Flat Laser

FLAT LASER

The flat blank is one stage of the part. Its cut features need to make sense with the bends, connections and finish that come next.

PTB offers flat laser cutting for sheet metal projects, with the cutting plan built around the part and the manufacturing operations that follow. Send us the finished requirements so we can quote the work through PTB.

Send the material, thickness, finished drawing, model or flat pattern if available, quantities and critical features. If the part will be formed, include the finished geometry too. It is more useful than a flat pattern on its own when the job includes bends or assembly work.

A bracket, panel or enclosure may need more than a cut edge. Show us the completed part so cutting, forming, welding and finish can be reviewed together.

FROM FLAT BLANK TO FINISHED PART

The flat blank is the starting point. Profiles, holes and slots should account for later bending, welding and finishing. Show us the finished part as well as the flat geometry so we can review the manufacturing sequence and the features that control fit.
