HOW WE BUILD IT / Designing for Manufacturing

DESIGNING FOR MANUFACTURING

The best time to discuss manufacturing is while there's still room to improve the part. Show us what has to stay fixed and what can change.

Start with the finished assembly. Which surfaces locate it? Which connections control fit? What material, appearance or inspection requirements are essential? Those details help us review the route without treating every dimension as equally critical.

For tube work, include radii, straight sections and bend orientation. For sheet metal, show the finished bends, connection features and any welding or coating requirements. If multiple parts fit together, include the assembly view.

Send the current revision, quantities and expected production pattern. A one-off part and repeat production can lead to different tooling conversations. We can work through the manufacturing approach with you and identify what needs to be settled before a quote or first article moves forward.
