POLISHING & FINISHING
"Polished" can mean different things to different people. If the finish matters to the part, define it before the work starts.
Tell us which surfaces are visible, what appearance you're expecting, and whether there's a sample or finish requirement to match. Include any expectations for weld appearance, surface preparation, handling and packaging.
PTB can review finishing requirements as part of the complete manufacturing plan. We'll confirm the available process and where it will be performed around the actual material and part.
When a finish has a measurable requirement, put it on the drawing or specification. A photo may help explain the look, but it doesn't replace an agreed acceptance standard. For powder coating, use the dedicated guide to bring color, masking and the coating system into the conversation.
